ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
The Mine/Trench Rescue Technician Course is a 14-day programme, delivered in line with NFPA 1006 standards, that develops technician-level competency in trench and excavation rescue. It covers rescuer safety, OSHA trench and excavation regulations, soil composition assessment and cave-in evaluation, and the stabilization and shoring of unstable ground using wood, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, through to victim recovery and incident termination.

Stabilization & Shoring
Stabilise and shore unstable ground using wood, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, guided by trench rescue data sheets.
Victim Rescue & Recovery
Execute victim rescue and recovery procedures in a collapsed trench or excavation.
Incident Termination
Safely conclude and terminate a trench or mine rescue incident.
