ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
This advanced programme builds on foundational rope rescue skills to cover tripod and artificial high anchor point systems, lock-out/tag-out procedures, high line systems such as the Traverse and Norwegian Reeve, and rope equipment testing and maintenance, in accordance with NFPA 1670 and 1006 standards. It prepares participants to plan and execute complex, high-angle rescue operations with greater technical proficiency.

CAPABILITY DEVELOPED THROUGH TRAINING
Apply advanced rope rescue physics and safety-factor calculations to rigging design
Construct natural and artificial anchor systems with appropriate redundancy
Perform advanced personal rope skills including rappelling, ascending and transitions
Rig and operate high angle lowering, raising and highline systems
Package and evacuate casualties using litter, pick-off and steep-angle techniques
Command and coordinate complex, multi-pitch technical rope rescue operations
